Re: Remission without relapse - can it happen?

My husband has had multiple myeloma for about 16 years. He had a stem cell transplant 6 years ago and is on dex for 4 days every 2 months. No bone deterioration or kidney involvement. His latest blood test shows that his blood levels have gone down. His doctor doesn't know why the multiple myeloma has not come out of remission and told him that it is a long time with nothing going on. I have steeled myself for the eventuality of what is to come, but, for the moment, we are happy. He hikes, travels, lives well, and drinks lots of wine.
