prophylactic antibiotics?
Do your physicians prescribe prophylactic antibiotics if you have a fever or other symptoms of a cold? If so, what kind?

Dr. Paul Richardson from the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute said:
"We have a low threshold for using Zithromax (azithromycin) or clarithromycin (Biaxin) for chest symptoms, or Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanic acid) or quinolone antibiotics for sinus infections.
Recurrent and especially serious infections may benefit from immune globulin replacement therapy."
