Previous stem cell donor 25yrs?... later diagnosed with multiple myeloma.

I have tried to find information on this.....
But the data according to web sights, hasn't caught up to, or have been posted......
This is my Mom now 81.....She donated stem cells many many years ago from her hip for a small child who was really sick, and just recently 8-13-12....she has been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma????? Is there a connection.....
You would have to know my Mom....But she would have never traded this act of kindness, even if there was a connection, or a possible side effect.....
I was just curious, and thought I should raise the question since this is my Mom's status.....
The exact timing is not for sure, as she even forgot she had donated.
She is so humble, my brother and one other sibling knew.....
I never even knew until a few days ago......When my Mom was reminded by my brother....

My husband donated stem cells, ten months later, a vortex is broken, another four months later, multiple myeloma diagnosis.
If I have understood correctly, donated her mother bone marrow, without administration of G-CSF?

I'm German, not so good in English.
