Hi Mike, in reference to your statement about not showing symptoms... Are you now diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma and if yes how long did it take for symptoms to show after the blood test showed I'm presuming MGUS??? Or if you are now diagnosed are you showing any symptoms yet???

Sorry i did not know that people had been responding to my posts. I do have a oystalitic(sp) leasion inside the bone of my dysital femur. It was found on a bone scan in July of 08. I do have severe bone loss of 9% in spine and 5% in other bones. I have had numerous bone scan and each one says more uptake in the areas that corespond with my pain. My blood work comes back as ok with there being no increase of M proteins.

I had genitc testing done as it seems my 34 year old daughter has had a precancer breast tumor removed via lumpectomy. She is considering having her overies ,tubes and uterus removed because of uterine fibriods, POCS, and also so she might be able to begin an anti estrogen theraphy. She also has bone joint problems with back ,neck and left knee having pain. The gentic testing came back negative which was good in that it wasn't BRAC genes. But her symptoms and mine could be a result of another genitic malformation for which there is not screening for.??

Thanks so much for the input here as it is nice to have people who can relate to what i am going through. It is hard to live in continuing pain and try to carry on with daily tasks. I am lucky as i have a husband who supports me so i don't have to work outside the home. I tried to work 2 hours a day this past summer and thats when my left knee leg began hurting so bad i couldn't put weight on it and went to the er. Thing is what does it take to get a diagnosis?? I know that getting a DX won't change the outcome of the illness but knowing what is wrong with me can give comfort.

I have recieved some threaphy in having cortasol shots for carpel tunnel and I had a mortons nermoa treated with shots too...

My left leg has pain now all over knees, shinbones, ankle and lately the bottom of my left heel. My right knee and leg are very painfull too. My shins feel like someone has been beating me with a bat really sore. I have been taking a muscle relaxer (flexeral) and that helps along with a minum of oxycodone and lidocane patches.... Keeping active despite pain is good and getting outside and fresh air as well as diet and taking good herbal remedies all help me have a quality of life that keeps me feeling that God has a plan for me yet.

thanks for the advice and caring words here... shar
