Hi,
I know that Revlimid is well-known for causing a rash (sometimes moderate, or sometimes quite severe, like in my case). With pomalidomide [Pomalyst], are the researchers seeing this type of reaction (ie rash) in a lot of patients? And more broadly, would you comment on the different overall side effects of pomalidomide as compared to Revlimid?
Thanks very much.

Re: pomalidomide Side effects
I would say that the incidence of rash was the same or a little bit less than Revlimid based on our experience with the pomalidomide (CC-4047) phase II trial in relapsed and refractory myeloma patients. The remaining side effects closely mirror Revlimid -- fatigue, nausea/diarrhea, rash, count suppression, muscle cramps -- although seem less intense.

Re: pomalidomide Side effects
I thought I was crazy but I was up half the night scratching my scalp. Thanks for reassuring me.

Re: pomalidomide Side effects
I just began in a clinical trial at Emory
A Phase 1, Multicenter, Open-Label, Dose-escalation Study to Determine the Maximum Tolerated Dose for the Combination of pomalidomide, Bortezomib and Low-Dose Dexamethasone in Subjects With Relapsed or Refractory Multiple Myeloma
CC-4047-MM-005
http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT01497093
Will try to post side effects, after 2 years on RVD hoping for some lesser side effects
