Thank you for the response, Dr. Valent. We are likely headed in the direction of the older drug combos. We have done the simpler version, with a Velcade / Cytoxan / dex combo, but there has been talk of adding in the doxorubicin, etc.
You mentioned giving those regimens over several days in the hospital. Does that mean they are one-time treatments (i.e., not on a weekly basis, like Velcade)?
Unfortunately, my husband's allergic reaction was deemed unsafe by the doctors (though they did try twice, just to make sure it was actually the Revlimid causing it), due to severe drops in blood pressure (70/40 was the norm) and full-body rash and hives (there was concern over airways, etc). So I'm guessing that is not a route we will be traveling again, though, with multiple myeloma, never say never!.
