This has already been asked once before (by myself). Run a search or go to page 5 where it currently is under "Plasma Cell Labeling Index".

The plasma cell labeling index can be done at the Mayo Clinic. It is not offered at most other laboratories. It is a useful prognostic test when done by a center with experience. Whether it adds additional prognostic information beyond the other more commonly used tests (cytogenetics/FISH, LDH, international stage, gene expression profile) remains to be seen. I suspect that most patients with a high PCLI have other high-risk features utilizing the other testing, but that is just a hunch. Definitely worthy of further study!

I hope this helps!
