I have been recently diagnosed with having a parietal calvarial lesion. I have also been told it is benign. My neurologist also said that he thinks it has been there for a long time and it's nothing to worry about.
However, my concern is that I have never experienced any pain from it until the last few months. So this suggests to me that it may be growing.
This lesion was discovered by accident when they were checking for other problems that they thought I had. Which is a cigarette smell that I randomly get, and has been occurring for the last 6 months or so. Some days it is worse than others, and it comes and goes. But apparently these 2 issues are not related.
I'm very confused and a little worried that my neurologist has not thoroughly looked into this, or suggested any further testing. I have 3 small children and I just don't want something to be missed.
Should I be getting a 2nd opinion, and should I be worried that this lesion may be growing?
