Pain in waist and legs down to knee area

by angualor on Sun Jul 31, 2016 5:09 am

I am undergoing treatment since 4 months. I am suffering from dreadful pain in waist and the upper legs down to the knee area.

Is this the illness or the treatment?

I am having chemo injection in stomach weekly, also on melphalan tablets.

The stomach injection, is it Velcade (bortezomib)?

If so, it can cause a specific type of pain called peripheral neuropathy. However, myeloma can also cause plasmacytomas, a type of tumor, especially along the spinal area.

I would talk to your hematologist about this next appointment. If you start losing feeling in your legs, go to your A&E / emergency department without delay.
