My partner has to start on a combination of Revlimid, dex and cyclophosphmide. They have told him to take aspirin to thin the blood and indicated this treatment would last indefinitely, although after a year they may consider taking out the dex. His paraprotein level has shot up from 14.3 to 20 in the past two months. We had planned a trip in July for a week which involves about 10 hours flying time. We have now cancelled that but I was wondering if anyone on that treatment (it will be a 28 day cycle of 21 on, 7 off) had done any long distance plane travel whilst taking it or if its too dangerous ?
If long distance travel is not advisable, is a trip of 2 hours or 4 hours also not advisable ?

Re: Overseas travel
My regimen doses may be different from yours but I to am on cytoxin, rev and steroids but I am allergic toad rim so I am on lovanox. I will be traveling to San Francisco and then Hawaii and my physicians are fine with that. I also know to walk and move often while on the flight. I hope this helps you some .
