Hi Everyone, Just a quick update from when I went to the hematologist and did the 24 hr. urine and bone survey. Bone survey said no lesions and said that I had mild degeneration in my knees...I said WHAT!!! to the DR. Ok , i don't have lesions but how is it this test didn't pick up the very extensive degeneration I have in my neck , spine and shoulders. I have spondylosis, bony spurs, extentsive damage to L-4 and L-5 where it's bone against bone and also uptake was shown in my facial bones. Anyway, she just said the survey is just supposed show lesions and said she saw my past reports where I had all this degeneration in my JOINTS???...I said nooo, the vertebraes which is bone....Well moving on I didn't want to argue. She then told me told the 24 hour urine did show some abnormalities but not enough at this time and would NOT do the bone marrow biopsy but I need to come back in 6 months to be retested. I told her my bone pain sometimes is on the level that would require a morphine drip....to which she responded wow !!!really is it that bad? She then said maybe it's osteopenia. i didn't know what that was so I looked it up and found out it's NOT painful. I told her I would go to my neurologist about the pain. In the meantime I now have my 6th UTI within about 14-15 mos. and a severe sinus infection I was diagnosed with Friday and am taking Augmentin. ...along with the usual profound fatigue and intense bone pain...AARRRGGGHHH! Ok, so on Friday, I talked to my neurologist and explained the whole situation and he said none of this sounds good at all. He said for me to see him April 8th, first day he's back from vacation and he would examine me and give me the script for a full body MRI.....TO BE CONTINUED...Raven777 :?
