Re: Oral Bisphosphonates?
I am gettiong 4 mg of Zometa each month. My understanding is Zometa is a far more powerful bisphosphate than those given orally or those given by injection for osteoporosis.

Re: Oral bisphosphonates?
I've recently seen that oral Zometa is being used in a clinical trial to treat CRPS / RDS - a chronic nerve pain. I can't find any preliminary results or other info about this use, or other issues with oral use.
I'm curious as I have a left arm nerve issue since my stem cell transplant (SCT). It is not exactly diagnosed as CRPS, but referred to as "central sensitization" instead. It is much worse at times, but I've never tracked it.
I am receiving my Zometa infusions q 3 months. I do notice as I'm coming up due in a couple weeks that my nerve pains are getting much worse this week. Now wondering if they will subside somewhat after my infusion.
