I was wondering if anyone here knew the difference or link between the oligoclonal bands that can be found in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and monoclonal protein (M-spike) in serum?
I am IgA kappa and a spinal tap found 1 oligoclonal band. I always wondered if there was a relation a relation between the two.
Thank you for your inputs
