Hi all-
Thanks for the replies! We have been watching the anemia issue with my mom. The reason they haven't been too concerned is that she was extremely anemic following her surgery for her back. They think it's possible that she just hasn't bounced back from that yet. Prior to surgery she wasn't anemic. She hadn't had any issues with anemia in the past either aside from some excess bleeding (which led to a hysterectomy) last year. So I think her oncologist wants to watch this and see if he can notice a trend. He didn't seem too concerned just yet.
I too would like her to be working with a myeloma specialist. I know her oncologist works closely with the myeloma specialists at SCCA in Seattle. Maybe we can ask him to just consult with them on some of her levels and get their opinion.
