Nonsecretory multiple myeloma: symptoms & diagnosis

by csellars on Sat Aug 20, 2011 6:13 pm

Hi,

What are the multiple myeloma symptoms of non-secretors, and if you are a non-secretor, what led to your diagnosis? I have been experiencing bone pain, but blood tests, x-rays, and scans have been normal. Alpha-1, alpha-2, and beta-globulin were detected in urine, but no Bence-Jones or M-protein was present. MRI of spine was normal. My research on my symptoms always includes multiple myeloma, so I am just trying to become more informed.
Thanks!

Hi csellars,

Sorry to hear about the bone pain you're experiencing. I hope it ends up being diagnosed as something much less serious than multiple myeloma.

There are probably others here who can give you more thorough answers to your question. However, in the meantime, I wanted to make sure you had seen this previous thread here in the forum,

which itself points to a number of other additional threads that you may find helpful:

Good luck!
