No response to VDT-PACE - what next?

by jonoskins on Sun Sep 29, 2013 4:34 am

Hi all,

I had a 4 day infusion of VDT-PACE 4 weeks ago with no response. I have high risk myeloma and had a relapse 16 months after ASCT with a non secreting clone which was not noticed until I had 50% plasma cells. I have to get this under control so I can have a tandem auto and mini allo. I am being supported by blood and platelet transfusions as counts are low. Neut .4 ,plat 20 , hb 90

Refractory to Revlimid and Velcade. No other health issues.

Has anyone been in this situation?

Alternatives I was thinking of:

Pomalyst and Velcade
Pomalyst and carfilzomib [Kyprolis]
Revlimid and carfilzomib
Pomalyst carfilzomib panobinostat

Any other ideas?

Thanks,
Jon

Hi, Jon--

Did you read the article on the homepage about the Kyprolis/Revlimid/Dex combination? It is effective even when patients are resistant to Revlimid and Velcade.

All the best to you.
