Night sweats & sweating (not pre- or post-menopausal)

by Powder123 on Fri Mar 20, 2015 11:46 pm

Has anyone had bed drenching night sweats? Nightly? When there is nothing to blame?

That's what I have these day, no rhyme nor reason, no clue whatever. I wake up drenched in sweat. Room is set at 62 F (17 C) and I'm so drenched it's insane – sheets, clothes, all nite till I get up, shower, and try to get the salt and ewh off of me.

Anyone else with weird stuff going on?

I wake up in a pool of sweaty water. Sheets are soaked with sweat, including myself. Any insight? Is this part of lymphoma or leukemia or myeloma progressing?

It's not menopause. I asked already and still have no clue :?:

Hi Powder,

Welcome to the forum.

This thread touched on that topic earlier:

"Smoldering myeloma and night sweats" (started Oct 18, 2014)

See especially the posting in the thread by Dr. Voorhees.

Hope you get to the bottom of this.

I recently started having hot flashes again. I haven't had them in 2 years. I read somewhere you can have when you have tumors.

I have had multiple myeloma for 6 years and got stomach cancer 2 years ago. I had ungodly hot flashes all the time. To the point that I dressed in layers so I could shed as they came on.

After 75% of my stomach was removed, I never had another until just recently. They've started back up. I'm 74 years old. My doctors have no answer. My blood work shows very bad anemia. I got to have a colonoscopy, but I have no bleeding from bowel that's noticeable.
