Re: New bone pain during treatment - is it a concern?

by Blueboar on Wed Oct 10, 2018 12:55 pm

Hi Grace,

The pain makes sense to me. I was on Velcade and dexamethasone and cyclophosphamide. My back pain while I was on Velcade was very bad and they had to reduce my dose, I do have a chronic back condition anyway, which apparently was exacerbated. As for it being one-sided, the treatment regimen seems to have weakened my muscles and ligaments so my back wouldn't hold straight. This put one sided pressure on the whole thing.

Since coming off the treatment regimen, my back has recovered, but it seems to react badly to pamidronate (Aredia) each month.

Hope this helps. Jane in Canada.
