[E # Strat 61]

New and unsure

Hello,

Just diagnosed and, startling with back surgery as myeloma was discovered with compression fractures in T7 and T8 vertebrate. I think plan after surgery is back rehab and for guitar and piano so don't know how this will affect playing. This is my first foray into group support. Any ideas or suggestions most welcome.

Welcome to the forum. Glad you found this place.

I am assuming you were diagnosed with symptomatic multiple myeloma?? You might consider sharing a bit more background on your overall diagnosis and city your are in so that we can better help you.

What kind of specific back surgery are you considering? Have you investigated kyphoplasty, which can be a lot less intrusive than some other types of surgeries for compression fracture repair.

Are you working with a doctor that specializes in treating just multiple myeloma?
