Natural treatment regimen - opinions?

by Jacqueline on Sun Nov 09, 2014 10:11 am

Hello,

I wish to have testimonials, or opinions, on this protocol against myeloma, a doctor prescribed me and I think to take.

I realize that this disease is complex, stress, sadness, play a role, and the effects of treatment may vary from one person to another.

Currently, I am 3 months of dietary supplements that do not seem to be working (instead), and I think to try others.

Also, I'm MGUS (according to my GP) or smoldering myeloma (depending hematologist).

I give here the ingredients of dietary supplements and not their name.

Here's the protocol:

1. I have to follow the Breuss cure (42 days vegetable juice and herbal teas)

2. At the same time, I must take:
  • Bromelain Papain + (extracts)
  • Presented in a capsule containing all these elements: Alkylglycerols, Beta-glucan, Calcium, L-Cysteine, Beta carotene, Iron, Yeast lyophilized HE Eugenia caryophyllus, Melaleuca alternifolia, Origanum compactum, Vit. E, B1, B3, B6, Zinc, Copper, Echinacea, polyphenols, selenium
  • Red propolis
  • Presented in a capsule: 11 billion bacteria to the intestinal flora
  • Antioxidants presented in a capsule containing all these components: alpha-lipoic acid R, L-Glutathione reduced, Phosphatidylserine, selenomethionine Coenzyme Q10 Ubiquinol.
  • Vitamin C
Of course, I have to watch my diet ...

Do someone have any experience ?

Thanks a lot,
Jacqueline

A doctor suggested to me, in addition to dietary supplements listed in my first post, to follow the "Breuss cure" during 42 days.

The principle:

  - Do not take any solid food;
  - Drink only juices and vegetables, we just press before consumption;
- Physical activity;

I wish to have an opinion, testimonies of experience. It seems difficult to follow that cure. But if treatment is effective?

Regardless, I also studied taking curcumin, etc.

Thank you

I have never heard of the "Breuss cure". It sounds a lot like the Gerson Therapy. I called down to the Gerson Institute and they will not take multiple myeloma patients because they have gotten worse or died while on their therapy.

Did they tell how many multiple myeloma patients have been cured by this diet?

I don't believe any diet can cure multiple myeloma. It can help to make you healthier to fight the disease however. multiple myeloma is a soft blood cancer and patients have done better on a carnivore diet. I for one and others I have met. I eat red meat 2-3 times a day and lots of animal fat. Not every one would do well eating the amount of meat I do and I am not suggesting you do it, but I am suggesting eating solid food with meat and find how much it takes to make you feel better.

I can't comment on the supplements. I had a hair analysis done to see where I was deficient and take supplements for that, but again, not for a cure, but to make my body healthier. Did you have a test to see where are deficient?

multiple myeloma patients tend to need more vitamin B12 and your doctor can check you iron saturation. If it is not low I would not take any of that, but it is good to check that too. I take over the counter B12 supplementation every day with some others to help me.

There are some natural therapies that are anticancer to multiple myeloma. Taking curcumin is good. Doctor's Best seems to be the best brand. I take 4,000 grams a day but some take 8,000.

I take pancreatic enzymes as my main anti cancer therapy, pork pancreas enzymes, around 90 or so a day.

With my other supplements I take around 140 a day.

Dee777,

I've been working with my family / mom, who was diagnosed with MGUS 8-9 years ago and has slowly progressed. She has t(4;14) and addition of 1q. She's been on various supplements throughout the years (curcumin, calcium, vitamin B - also tried shark's liver oil / alcoyglyercols, resveratrol, coQ10, etc.). At the end 2015, we were shocked that her M-spike (pretty much asymtomatic) suddenly rose, and we then had a bone marrow biopsy to find 70%+ penetration of myeloma (up from 15% in 2008).

We've stepped it up and have been doing a lot of research. She's looking at a clinical study with high-dose carfilzomib (Kyprolis), but we're not positive she's doing that or not.

I've noticed some of your other posts. We've looked at Gonzalez therapy, and are also also supplementing with bone marrow and pancreatic (porcine) enzymes. Are you really taking 90 a day? We're using Wobe Mucos N. Can I ask what you're taking and also what type of care you are under? Are you seeing a naturopathic doctor? We're also doing essiac tea and ginseng.

For two years during MGUS my mom was totally stable, and then she was on shark's liver oil and alcoxyglycerols. We bought in bulk and froze the fish oil (very fishy - but mom took shots of it multiple times a day). In hindsight, I'm wondering if this wasn't effective. At the end of two years, her numbers went down ONCE and then we stopped - a bit complacent perhaps.

Also working on pH balance and installed all-house water filter. Organic juicing, virtually no carbs, meat / fish / chicken diet with lots of vegetables.

Any comments?

Thanks!
