Hi Tellis123,
Welcome to the forum.
You can read more about Dr. Burzynski and multiple myeloma in these Beacon forum threads:

"Antineoplaston therapy and cancer cure", Beacon forum discussion started May 19, 2011.
Best of luck to your father. Please let us know what his treatment ends up being and how he responds, and don't hesitate to ask any questions that may come up along the way.

Re: Natural killer cells - a cure
Although NK cells have been found to be able to destroy tumor cells for many decades now, our ability to harness this effect is not quite there yet. There are some challenges to be met, such as:
1. Getting enough NK cells for infusions. Most likely, it will have to be our own NK cells that have been stimulated and expanded outside of our bodies against myeloma.
2. Being able to activate NK cells properly outside the body, and to keep them alive long enough to put them back.
There is some very interesting work that is being done right now, and hopefully this will bear incredible results in the (near) future.
I have always believed that in order to achieve a cure, we will need the help of some meds, as well as activating our immune systems against myeloma. It's the latter that's the more important aspect.
