It's time for re-staging

by Tracy J on Tue Feb 02, 2016 11:07 am

So, since diagnosis in August of 2014, I've had the following:

  • Four months of bortezomib (Velcade)/ lenalidomide (Revlimid)/ dexamethasone, then relapse
  • Six months of carfilzomib (Kyprolis)/ Revlimid / dex, then heart and lung damage
  • Six months of cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan) / pomalidomide (Pomalyst) / dex
Now I've finished those courses, and I'm taking a break in order to have re-staging done. This will determine if I can move to maintenance therapy.

Yesterday I had a big blood draw.
Today I start my 24 hour urine.
Thursday I have a bone marrow biopsy.
Next Tuesday I have PET/CT.

Wish me luck!

Good luck Tracy!

I have learned a lot about myeloma, amyloidosis, side effects of drugs, and various treatments from your posts. Hopefully re-staging results are good. Please share how they turned out.
