Anyone here live or grow up near electrical towers?

by f cancer on Fri Dec 18, 2015 12:17 pm

Out of curiosity: anyone that have been diagnosed with multiple myeloma live close to electrical towers ?

I grew up as a kid living with giant electrical towers running just behind my backyard fence. They span across miles and miles of residential homes where we live. I know there is a possible link between multiple myeloma and radiation and not sure what if any radiation is involved with these wires but figured I would test the waters here. I remember hearing them "sizzle" whenever it rained.

You might want to read up on studies from Sweden on this issue; there were studies done in 80s/90s in Sweden about power lines and leukemia (not myeloma).

Ok thanks, so many different stages we go through, and every once in a while I go back to the "Why Me" stage.

Attempting to discover what may have caused your myeloma and the why me factor are perfectly normal reactions to a cancer diagnosis; not a lot is known in what causes myeloma, there are some links to benzene, pesticides, agent orange.
