I was diagnosed on October 25, 2017 with stage 3 multiple myeloma. I'm currently being treated with Velcade, Revlimid and dexamethasone (VRD), and I'm just finishing my 2nd 21-day treatment regimen. Feeling good as anemia is going away.
Glad to find a helpful resource like this.

Re: Diagnosed in October 2017 with multiple myeloma
Just met with my doctor and reviewed all my labs. My hemoglobin is 13.8, so I’m no longer anemic. I’ve been feeling pretty good for the last couple weeks, so that confirmed it. My kappa and lambda levels and ratio are now in the normal range. I haven’t had any side effects from my medication regimen (knock on wood).
After all the issues I’ve had the past year with heart rate and an ablation, respiratory flu, costochondritis, unknown fractured ribs, increasing fatigue thru the summer until finally my anemia was discovered, and ultimately multiple myeloma and the shock of the diagnosis, and after reading all the possible terrible things that could occur, I feel almost guilty about how quickly my body seems to have turned around. I know the cancer is still there, but when I feel good, I feel confident that I’ll be able to watch our first grandchild graduate.
Happy holidays to all!
