Re: multiple myeloma and travelling
Don't be afraid to travel! A little get-away will help you put things in perspective. I agree with the other posts...notify your doctor, bring masks & of course your meds...but by all means, enjoy the moment!

Re: multiple myeloma and travelling
I returned to work 1 month after transplant, and then I went on vacation in June of this year. I and my husband went to North Georgia to the mountains! I hiked the falls in and around Helen Georgia. They call it little Bavaria for a good reason, hilly. I then climbed three quarters of the way up Stone Mountain. Then found out in July, I had compression fractured my lower back.
I had lots of energy and was feeling great! But now that I am back on the Revlimid, I'm tired a lot and have no energy. I'm still in remission, but think it is the reaction to the Revlimid.

Re: multiple myeloma and travelling
Dear All:
Thank you very much for your very helpful replies.
I have had a lovely weekend with my aunt. Everything went very well.
Just a little panic when a woman opposite me in the train started to cough.
Right now I am planning the next trip to a tiny island in the baltic sea together with my husband.
All the best to you!
Kind Regards,
Elfriede
