Hi All,
My mother was just recently diagnosed with multiple myeloma / AL amyloidosis. She is currently going through chemotherapy to control the multiple myeloma.
Her biggest struggle at the moment is gastrointestinal (GI) / abdominal pain. She is taking anti-nausea medication and takes some medication to alleviate some of the gastrointestinal pain, but nothing seems to be working. I'm wondering if anyone may have suggestions. If any of you have or know someone who has experience with similar issues, please let me know. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: Multiple myeloma / amyloidosis gastrointestinal pain
Are the gastrointestinal symptoms thought to be caused by the underlying condition or the treatment? If the latter, what is she receiving?
