I think my situation with biclonal gammopathy is worth mentioning on this thread. I was diagnosed with IgG Kappa, trace of IgG Lamba MGUS back in 2005 with a spike of 13 % (that is how it was measured then) In 2010 routine testing showed only a trace of Lambda and unmeasurable Kappa. I thought it had resolved and would never progress.

In 2011 SPEP showed a band of IgG Lambda with trace of IgG Kappa. The disease state changed to Lambda being predominant and Kappa being trace. The Lambda clone evolved and continues to evolve, where my spike goes up consistently and the kappa remains trace.

I am SMM with bone involvement - moderate osteopenia - BMPC 12%

Has anyone else had a biclonal presentation with a switch like this before progression? Just curious to see if any long time MGUS patients that evolved were biclonal IgG.
