I received so many great ideas and suggestions about ways to stay positive for my last Myeloma Beacon column, I decided to start a (hopefully) ongoing thread of hope and positivity here in our Forum.
Let me get this thing started by sharing my observation: Positive energy is contagious! I am so uplifted by phone calls, e-mails and comments I receive each and every day from my fellow cancer survivors and caregivers. I'm starting to believe the most interesting, self actualized group of people in the world have--or help someone who has cancer. The positive energy shared by so many is incredible when you consider the pain and challenges we all face each and every day!
Please join me in passing along this positive energy by sharing your thoughts and feelings here.
Thank you, All!
Pat

Re: More Suggestions To Help Us All Stay Positive
Think happy thoughts. Think how your mood will affect those around you. Be glad you are alive! Be the leader! Live life to its fullest and make the best of what you have. Concentate on the positive aspects of your status rather than the negative. Give it your all. You will feel good which can be contagious.

Do you keep these sayings posted on the fridge? Do you repeat them to yourself every day? Great suggestions! Pat

No I just strive to live them. Gotta stay on an upper -it's not easy all the time but with all the support I get from Family, friends, and the VA Staff here in San Francisco it makes it all good!!
