by LarryD on Wed Nov 27, 2013 12:54 am

The San Gabriel Valley (California) multiple myeloma Support Group will have its next meeting

Monday, December 2, 7:00 to 8:30 pm at
Pasadena Central Library
Donald R. Wright Auditorium
285 E Walnut St, Pasadena, CA 91101
Free parking is available on site or adjacent streets. Free food will be available.

Anyone who has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma or a closely related disease is welcome, as are their caregivers and family members. Please come to share your experiences and learn from others who have been there.

This month our featured speaker is David Johnson, president and owner of Evergreen Physical Therapy Specialists in Pasadena. David received his Masters of Physical Therapy from USC in 1991 and has lots of good ideas for dealing with bone pain, neuropathy, and bone health as well as health in general through exercise/physical therapy. David will talk to us about "The Parameters of Exercise with Multiple Myeloma." Some of the topics he will discuss are weight bearing exercise for keeping bone strength, neuropathy, pain, and what not to do when exercising. He is bringing a PT table and a few other things so he can make it interactive. Should be very informative and fun!

The presentation will be followed by general discussion and socializing.

We normally meet on the first Monday of each month at the same time and place. For the latest information, please see our web pages at the IMF website: http://sangabrielvalley.myeloma.org
