Hi there everyone
My name is Lucille and my mother has just recently been diagnosed with myeloma + Amyloidosis. Really hoping to get some support here and some valuable info. She is due to start Chemo in the next 1.5 weeks. She was diagnosed on Monday so we are all in shock! Still finding it hard to wrap my head around this! We live in South Africa ...

Hi Lucille, I am very sorry to hear that your mother has been diagnosed with myeloma and amyloidosis. The Beacon is a wonderful online publication to read....one of the advantages to that is that there is a lot of international input, from many countries.
I hope that the treatments go well, and of course you can get lots of advice here by posting questions to the Forums. Do you know what myeloma drugs are approved for use in South Africa?
