Re: MGUS with lots of symptoms - is that normal?

Hi.

My name is Chris. I am a newbie here. I was diagnosed with MGUS 3 wks ago. Back in 2012, I had an unexplained deep vein thrombosis while in the hospital. With that, they found I had anemia. Later that year I developed pustular psoriasis, which is rare.

I was just wondering if I might have had MGUS back then and tests weren't run that would show it. My neurologist I am seeing now is the one that found my M spike. I started seeing her due to balance / coordination issues. I kept falling to the side when walking. She ran blood / urine tests the first visit. I asked her if she was looking for anything in particular and she said bone cancer. I really didn't think anything of it.

I went back in October for repeat of blood / urine test and thats when I found out about the M-spike and IgG light chain. My number aren't high. I don't understand a lot of them. I go to see an oncologist today for the first time. Hopefully will get a lot of my questions answered there. Any input from others that might have had the same experience with other unexplained illnesses would be appreciated

Have a good day and Thanksgiving.

Chris
