I just returned from hospital stay to get a bone marrow biopsy and MRI of my back. Finally the diagnosis has been confirmed: multiple myeloma (we were 99% sure anyway).

I will start Velcade, acyclovir, Zofran (ondansetron) and ?? next week. I am hoping the side effects are not too bad but glad that this disease is treatable. The success with Velcade I read is pretty good in bringing the numbers down.
