Hello Vicky. I have MGUS IGg Lambda, diagnosed in 2011. I do not have bone lesions, but I have osteoporosis. I had lots of bone pain before taking Actonel (risedronate) for a year, the medication seemed to help. I had to stop taking it, now the bone pain is back. Today I will have my routine blood tests, and maybe will start a new drug for my bones. Exercise everyday helps me...I always feel discomfort if I skip a day. Good luck to you! (I also firmly believe that stress and anxiety cause pain so don't worry. ;) )

I too have the IgG w/elevated light/heavy chains... I'm trying to find out what I can as to the meaning of it and prognosis... Like you I have a lot of bone pain in the long bones, hips & spine... I have found that daily exercise and Epsom salt soaks do help. If I miss a day, I'm much more sore and stiff the next leading to a bit of a growly temperament since they cannot treat the pain due to liver disease (no NSAIDs, Tylenol and etc.) only narcotics :( ... so I head to the gym or out on a walk to do my best to avoid the drugs. My oncologist told me "you have to do weight bearing exercise, cardio (walking, biking, etc) and maintain healthy diet and weight to help control pain and slow progression. Is this anything like what you are being told?

BTW, the Epsom salt soaks in warm to little hotter than warm water really helps to pull the pain in the bones out. My girlfriend with terminal leukemia told me to try it and it helps... If you get a chance try it... The other thing may be the body needing red meat... I have found at times the femurs will ache from the inside out with no relief, I may 4oz or less of med rare to rare steak and within 30 minutes of eating it, the pain lessens... have been told the body is craving nutrients only found in red meat (only time I eat it, lol). This place is a wonderful place to find inspiration, information and just overall, support.
