I was just wondering is anyone having pain anywhere? I was told you do not have any pain with MGUS, yet I'm having pain in my clavicle, right rib cage, left knee cap, and lower back if I'm lying on my stomach and popping joints. All of this started happening in the last few weeks. I'm currently waiting on an appointment with a myeloma specialist in another city. So I told my family physician and he told me he is referring me to a rheumatologist because my labwork says I'm fine.
I'm 38 and I have never had any problems with my bones or joints until recently.

Re: MGUS Pain?
Hi MrsM,
So glad to hear that you will be seeing a specialist in the near future!
Unfortunately, there are quite a few folks on this forum that experience pain and issues with MGUS and smoldering multiple myeloma even though these are supposed to be "asymptomatic" stages.
These issues are definitely something you want to discuss with your specialist to make sure that you are in fact not experiencing organ destruction and to see if there is anything that the doctor can do to help alleviate these symptoms. Lab markers alone don't always indicate whether you have bone damage going on.

Re: MGUS Pain?
Thank you. I'm trying not to freak out at every little ache and pain, but it gets hard sometimes.
