Hi Toni,

The bone marrow biopsy may enable you to potentially get more genetic information, IF cytogenetic studies such as FISH and/or gene profiling is done. Otherwise, the (very) useful information you will get will include percent plasma cells in the bone marrow (as well as other cells) and the clonality of these cells.

Bone marrow biopsy is scheduled for this Friday.

My M-protein is now 0.76 as conducted at a different lab. I'm less concerned about this now. Does anyone's monoclonal protein ever completely go away?
