Does anyone having MGUS also have hepatitis C? If so, do you know a connection?

Hello.
I have had HCV for 26 years. I was diagnosed with MGUS one year ago. I also have had a cadaveric kidney transplant for 26 years, therefore I have been on a strict regimen of immunosuppressant drugs for the same duration. Some of these drugs affect white blood cell counts. I have been through interferon/ribavirin treatment in an attempt to rid my body of HCV. It failed.
I understand your concern and fear of multiple diagnoses, it can be frightening. You are not alone and never have been. Perhaps there is a treatment just around the corner that neither of us can see. I pray so. ds

Hi, I have chronic hepc for over 20yrs. I have just started having polyneuropathy with headache and lower back pain. Labs show MGUS and cryoglobulin negative. Is this neuropathy going to stay with me, or can they treat this? Anyone know?
