I have posted a couple of times so far and enjoy reading all of the posts on many of the subjects. I have noticed that I am very lightheaded quite a bit lately. I am not one to be like this. It is usually when I am sitting down, which I am sure is a bonus. It is just so weird for me to experience this. Is this something that is common with MGUS? Or could it just be a coincidence?

Re: Newly diagnosed with MGUS & feeling lightheaded
Hi Robin,
How's your hemoglobin and red blood cell (RBC) counts doing? Lightheadedness can be a symptom of anemia, which can be caused by monoclonal gammopathies. Vitamin B12 deficiency can also cause lightheadedness and may also accompany monoclonal gammopathies. There are also a host of other potential causes of lightheadedness, including low glucose levels, hypotension, dehydration, etc.
Your GP should be able to screen you to get to the root cause.

Re: Newly diagnosed with MGUS & feeling lightheaded
Multibilly,
Thanks, I hadn’t thought about that. My entire life I have never been anemic, not even during pregnancy. That is what is so strange to me to have a blood disorder. I take a liquid B vitamin complex, so hope it is just being tired.
I have had hip pain for over a year and had an x-ray on Friday. I have already had a nuclear bone scan to check for bone metastasis from my breast cancer . Okay there. So just trying to navigate through this process.
Thanks,
Robin
