Re: MGUS diagnosis, but will I progress to multiple myeloma?
That's pretty cool that your free light chains (FLCs) are in range. Seems like most folks with MGUS that check in on this forum have FLCs that are out of range. It's also one factor that should statistically reduce your risk of progression.

Re: MGUS diagnosis, but will I progress to multiple myeloma?
Dear Trae,
Thanks for your thoughts. Since my diagnosis, I have done tons of research and found people who really beat cancer while avoiding modern medicine. Usually we hear of remission and a few years later relapse! That's a cause of chemo, radiation, and so on. I know a guy with myeloma who modern medicine told him there is nothing they can do for him in 1997, and he did alternative medicine, and he is in remission since 1999. This has a lot to do with belief system and I am not forcing that to anyone.

Today I have found out that I have osteoporosis. Another thing to get worried about. I just feel this is not fair. I am too young for all of these, so next is multiple myeloma I guess.

Re: MGUS diagnosis, but will I progress to multiple myeloma?
Hi,
Just an up date, I had my third blood test last week and I am very content with the result, I have been taking 4 g of curcumin plus doing Budwig protocol once a day, and all my numbers improved, only my M protein did not go down a lot.
M protein 1.28 which was 1.38
IgG down to 1580 from 1760
IgM down to 333 from 394
And the rest is in range (beside high gamma globulin). I will go for another check up in three months and if everything stays the same we move to 6 months check up.
I really don't understand my MGUS. There also is no M protein in my urine. All I can say is this is a very complicated disease!!
