i am a newly diagnosed MGUS patient. it was found incidentally. my m spike is low (IgG lambda and I have no other blood or urine abnormalities. my dr did not recommend PET scan or bmb. i am in my 30s. I had an MRI of my spine for a different reason and they found multiple hemanigiomas in my cervical and thoracic spines. anyone else have the same findings on their mri? i am scared that these could heve been misread and could actually be myelomatous lesions but that the radiologist did not consider that the diagnosis because of my age. thank u for any help

Re: MGUS and (possible) bone lesions - scared
I will also add that one of the lesions was called atypical. i showed the films to a friend of mine who is a radiologist and she said that her gut instinct was that they were only hemangiomas (benign vascular tumors of the bone). I also one in my clivus (a bone in the skull). I have followed this one over the course of 10 months and it has been stable. I guess my question is basically, can the radiographic appearance of a hemangioma mimic that of a myeloma lesion? thanks again
