MGUS and multiple sclerosis

by countrygirl on Thu Oct 13, 2016 5:38 pm

I have previously been diagnosed with MGUS and small fiber neuropathy. This week I also got a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. Seems like enough already :D

Just wondering if anyone has any experiences, information, or insights they could share that would be of help to me given these diagnoses.

Hi Countrygirl,

Wishing you all the best with this dual diagnosis. This thread touches on some of those on this forum that also have this dual diagnosis:

"New diagnoses: multiple myeloma and multiple sclerosis" (started May 20, 2014)

You can also use the advanced search function on this forum to find other threads or postings where multiple sclerosis is mentioned in post messages, not just in the thread topic description (make sure to click on "Search within: Post subjects and message text" when you enter your search criteria). This list of postings from an advanced search, for example, of posts in the forum where either "sclerosis" or "MS" is mentioned in the thread topic or thread posts.

Hi,

I got diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and MGUS at the same time 4 years ago. Since then I also have chronic pancreatitis and a blood clotting problem (had three clots in arm). Not sure of any connection, but I think the autoimmune disease connection to MGUS is discussed on here somewhere.

Good luck.
