Meaning of a scrolling icon
What does it mean when the icon in front of a listed forum thread is scrolling or flickering all the time, day or night?

Re: Meaning of a scrolling icon
Hello Mister Dana,
Thanks for your question. The icon you're referring to shows up next to discussions that have a particularly large total number of replies. It's meant to highlight discussions that have been particularly popular.
The appearance of the icon is not, unfortunately, "dynamic," in the sense that it will show up next to a thread one week, but perhaps not the next. Instead, it will show up next to any thread – regardless of when it was started – that has a particularly large number of replies.
James S - The icon Mister Dana is referring to can be seen, for example, in this list of forum discussions, next to the title of the discussion "Is my bone damage permanent?" The iconic is what is known as an "animated GIF", and we believe it will appear on iPads as well as just about any computer.
