MD Anderson Opens NJ Cancer Center - Good News
I just drove by the new MD Anderson/Cooper Cancer Center which was just opened on 10/7/13 and dedicated by the governor. It is emblazoned with their famous logo with a slash through the word cancer. It is a few blocks from the courthouse where I work in Camden, NJ and just across the river from Philly. Apparently, it will make all MD Anderson cancer treatments, protocols and clinical trials available to patients in the NJ/NY/PA region. I am treated elsewhere but it may give patients another option for treatment or second opinions and clinical trials. Terry L.

It's interesting that MD Anderson has now joined the mix of cancer centers in the Phila region. It should make life really interesting for cancer patients in our area to have another well known cancer center to consider. I believe that it will add to the number of clinical trials that are available to us. I also believe that it will enrich the philosophy of treatment options available. I wouldn't be surprised if there was collaboration between Penn and MD Anderson in the future. What a powerful collaboration that could be for all people with cancer in the Phila area.
