Matthew Wayne McCoy

How could we talk of breakthroughs and chronic disease when people such as Matthew die so young?

"Matthew W. McCoy, 46-year-old Dripping Springs [Texas] resident, died on Friday, July 25 after a lengthy battle with multiple myeloma and other illnesses. He was born on November 24, 1967."

I am sorry to hear about Matthew McCoy, and it is tragic that he died so young. That is the really scary part about multiple myeloma. Some people do OK with it, but others not at all. But doctors, scientists and other concerned people are working to improve the outcomes for patients.
