I was just looking at some labs done on me before my first treatment. The only things tested on these labs was my magnesium and phosphorus levels and they were normal.
I just have no idea what the purpose of this test was for. There was nothing else tested. Does anyone have a clue?
Of course, I will ask my doctor when I see her next, just curious as usual and impatient.

Re: Magnesium and phosphorus levels
Based on a quick google, increased phosphorous and magnesium levels can be indicators of issues with one's kidney function. Magnesium can also go out of whack due to chemo treatments associated with multiple myeloma.

Re: Magnesium and phosphorus levels
I googled this also. I found references to bone issues. Thanks for the help. I think she was just getting a base line in these levels.
