M-spike question (have smoldering myeloma)

by Ralph on Wed Jan 16, 2013 6:28 pm

Hello,

I was wondering about my M-spike which at diagnosis 3 yrs ago was 0.1 in the gamma region.

Now three years later it runs 0.3 in the gamma region and 0.8 in the beta region and I can’t get a clear explanation about this.

I’m considered a smoldering myeloma case and have not received any treatment to date. I have IgA kappa and my IFE is up to 1540 now, at diagnosis (2009) it was 1060. Freelite ratio normal, no CRAB.

Can anyone explain please?

Thank You,

Ralph

Hi!

My M-Spike is much higher and my plasma aspirate is 33%, but I am still smoldering. I am slightly anemic. You are blessed and I am blessed, but I am on the bubble for treatment.
