When I did my stem cell harvest in May 2016, my M-spike was at 0.40 g/dL. I still have not done the transplant that my doctor suggested I do. All my labs have been and are currently in the normal range.
Currently my M-spike has been on a consistent and steady downtrend and is at 0.21 g/dL. I have been taking 15 mg of Revlimid (21 days on, 7 days off) and 20 mg of dexamethasone (once a week).
Why should I do a transplant using a higher level of potentially tainted stored stem cells collected when I had a higher M-spike, when I currently have cleaner cells?
Am I missing something?
ll other tests have been in normal range. At diagnosis, my M spike was at 1.20 g/dL.
Thanks.
