One more last link for you Mrozdav, I don't know if you read the results of the 2015 ASCO, so here is a recent article about a study: (Also Kerri, this may be of interest to you regarding the Velcade maintenance).

It is from this result that I have seen other doctors in podcasts and articles mention that Velcade might be as good as Revlimid in the maintenance application. A study that would test this conjuncture would take six months to get approved, over a year to recruit, and 5+ years to report the preliminary results. This type of study would never get done in the States, but they do seem to do these types of studies in Europe, if a leading doctor took interest in the question.
Good luck.

Re: M-spike equals 0 at diagnosis - is that possible?
Eight years ago I was diagnosed with IgD/Kappa myeloma. At the time, I had an M spike that was just a "blip" and not quantitative. My Kappa was very high, lesions, etc. In fact, we could follow treatment benefit only by the Freelite test for light chain. Check to see what form of multiple myeloma you had at diagnosis. Kappa light chain remains my main issue. Hope this helps.
