Visualize yourself receiving treatment that allows you to do all the things you still plan to do in your life. Then visualize yourself doing them. Keep that vision strong. Consult a team of specialists that you trust, and then make the decision that sets you on that positive future! Thankfully there is a lot of great research going on that has the potential to keep you around for a long time!

Here is some words of encouragement.
My father had multiple myeloma in 1993 when there was very little effective treatment. He lived 13 months.
My brother had multiple myeloma starting in 2002 he found out about UAMS-MIRT in Little Rock and had double
Auto transplant and had no prospect of a Allo. He had 51/2 good years, saw his daughter get married, etc.
Now I have smoldering multiple myeloma, there are new treatments all the time! Ask your Onco. about Natural Killer cell therapy and other compounds like Kyprolis etc. This is not the time to give up or let despair get you down. If I sit and think about my chances at length I get very blue. I visualize
my contribution to my descendants, and to all mankind of my research and clinical trial data , etc.
I realize it is hard, very hard to stay positive but there are alternatives to an allogenic and there are positive developments all the time.
Take care,
We will be thinking about you and sending positive thoughts your way.
