MJH. There are not definitive answers to your questions because you'll find we all respond a little different to the treatments and there is a pretty wide range of reactions. For me, I had very little negative effects from the Revlimid, Velcade, and dexamethasone (RVD) regimen when I went through 4 rounds (but I didn't achieve a deep enough response), and I'm having a great response and little negative effects during 4th round of Kyprolis and Pomalyst treatment now.
Generally you might expect to feel better, but maybe not "normal," during the off week, and the effects of treatment are generally cumulative. Still, if you are fortunate to have little side effects, which I understand is often true, you may not notice much.
I will share advice that helped my anxiety starting treatment. It's good to be aware of possible side effects, but there is no point fretting over them until you face them. There is a good chance you will not experience them, they could be mild, or you may respond totally in your own way. Don't waste your precious energy on things that haven't happened and may not happen.
Good luck. It becomes much less scary and much more "routine."
