Hi,
I was diagnosed in 2011 at the age of 45. I've been through chemo and an autologous stem cell transplant but have just found out my paraprotein is coming back. My doctor is suggesting I have another transplant with an allogeneic transplant to follow.
The cancer itself hasn't given me too much trouble to date the bigger issue being the treatment and the impact on family and work.
Its good to hear how others are coping.

Re: Living With Myeloma In Sydney
Hi PeterSydney,
I had an auto that didn't work in June 2010 and an allo in April 2011 which did. I am now in remission (there are a few health problems but I am still here alive and kicking). I had my allo transplant at the Alfred Hospital under the supervision of Prof. Andrew Spencer. I live near Ballarat, Vic about an hour and 20 mins from the Alfred.
All the best,
Libby
